இன்றைய ஆடி பெருக்கு நாளில் ஆறுகளில் நீராடிவிட்டு மேற்கொள்ளும் தாலி கயிறு மாற்றுதல், முளைப்பாரி விடுதல் உள்ளிட்டவை நடைபெறவில்லை. பொதுமக்கள் தங்களது வீடுகளிலேயே வழிபாடுகளை நடத்தினர்.
பொதுவாக ஆடிப்பெருக்கு நாளில் காவிரி கரையோரங்களில் மக்கள் பெருந்திரளாக கூடுவர். ஆனால் இந்த முறை அனைத்து காவிரி கரையோர பகுதிகளில் கூடுதுறைகளில் பொதுமக்கள் வழிபாடு இல்லாமல் வெறிச்சோடி காணப்பட்டன.
